Consulting Business - Explaining to people why we are worth the money

    Hello all,

My business partner and I have started up a consulting business focused on the mathematics side of business. Whether it is analyzing data, scenario analysis, cutting down production time by 2 seconds, plant layout, advertising optimization, employee scheduling, or whatever, we have an ability to do it.

Our problem is companies usually have people who can do these things too, but not in an optimal way. We have the ability to save small companies thousands of dollars and large companies millions of dollars. How do we explain to companies that we can save them a ton of money at a fraction of the cost?

To get a better idea of what we do check out our site at optinomicsconsulting.com

this is also something i was wondering, coming up to the end of my degree, i hear many people say that we provide the best and newest ideas, but getting someone with the power to implement our ideas is a lot more difficult than it sounds . . . .

You may want to consider reading some of Ramit Sethi's writing on his blog. You can just Google him. I'm not affiliated to him or his Earn 1K product, but it may have the answers you are looking for.

They only way to explain it, is to show them. But you can't show them how you did it of course, because if they don't accept your program you don't want to them to beneift from it.

So the real problem I would think is getting in front of the client. Have you been able to get in front of any clients?

Case studies. We do it to showcase how we can save medium sized-smaller enterprise companies huge money with their IT spending. We do case studies of existing and fictitious clients of different scenarios. If you can show them, especially dollars on paper you should get some results!
