I just had a general question about consulting. I am thinking about becoming a telecommunications consultant. In my terminology that means that I am supposed to be a professional in that field, and be able to offer solutions and sell my solutions to the companies I go to. Is that pretty accurate? How is a professional consultant supposed to act and carry themselves? What are some tools to get ready for being a consultant other than knowing the product you are trying to sell in and out? Any books about consulting?
