I'm having a real issue lately.

We offer SEO and Internet marketing services, usually to small and medium sized businesses. Over the last year, there has been a real demand for white label services (other firms/web designers outsource to us).

This has been great for us, save for just one issue. Those looking for white label SEO aren't concerned with the quality of service in any way. Rather, they always produce other service providers' websites. Usually, there is a pretty little matrix sheet with associated services/prices. The problem is, these sheets are absolute BS. Set aside the extremely low pricing structure, and you're still left with "services they provide" that are quite simply BS.

I'm looking at one right now. About 20% of the line items are made up to sound good (I can almost accept that as marketing). About half of it is the most basic of items that one would do anyway. No real value.

We go back and forth about this all the time internally. We can make such a sheet with useless fluff and product offerings, or we can stick to our guns. The latter usually results in a lost client though.

I'm thinking I just have a lot to learn about marketing; perhaps I'm just venting.
