College Students - be part of growing online network, promote your site, and earn $$$!

I'm looking for college students interested in writing brief articles about their collegiate experiences. My site, Dormwise (Welcome to DormWise) is getting increasing traffic and I want to build up the article database. The site covers all aspects of college living from food and drink recipes to decorating dormrooms to planning parties. If you think you have something to offer, I'd like to get you involved.

This is a great opportunity to promote your own site. The first article you write will contain your email and URL, so you get totally free promotion to thousands of college students. If your article is of a high quality and receives positive comments, you will be hired as a freelance writer to continue working with Dormwise.

The work has to be your own but it does not have to be original content - did you write something for a college paper? Have a favorite recipe? Have an old blog post about a party you attended? Any of these will work and will give you FREE promotion for your site. For more information, please PM me or send me an email at info@dormwise.com. Thanks!

There is a guy on here who runs the site Home - DrinkUpDc.com who you should talk to. He has a great idea for a site.... he just needs to get the word out there. I think starting will all the universitites in DC would work great for him. Check out his site or do a quick search on here to find him.

Seems like a positive idea for both sides...I know I was always looking for some extra cash while in school. Good luck with everything

your site and my site be very well be competitors. I run a magazine style blog which discusses health and fitness in the college environment. I like your site design by the way.

Very nice site, did you make it? Are you planning on selling ad space?

Thanks for the comments and compliments. mbolton, I'd be happy to have you consider me competition - it seems like you have a great site going. Gaulkin, I definitely plan on selling ad space but I feel it's important to have a strong user base to encourage targeted companies to buy ads (i.e. I'd rather have Pottery Barn Teen interested in paying for ad space that's going to be useful to them and my users, rather than have a list of google ads that might not seem relevant). That might be wishful thinking and I'll have to see how it goes, but that's the eventual plan .

Meaghannf- love the site. I've actually came across it before you posted your link here when I was searching for who knows what...

Anyway, if you're looking for a college-related article the one I have in my signature (the first link) might be relevant. Let me know if that works- it'd be great to get linked.

I also have a personal entrepreneurship blog up, in which I mention my experience as a college entrepreneur if that could help.

That's because I want to ensure the quality of the articles on the site. I post most of the articles myself and invite other authors to add articles after I review their work. Eventually I am going to add an area of the site where people can post their own articles but for now, it's just author-provided content.

Do you think that's a problem? Thanks for your feedback!

my advice is to allow users to submit an article, the article will go into a Que where you must accept or reject it before it officially posts on your site.
