i am currently in school studying nutrition, but my goal is to open a food service operation such as a cafe soon after i finish school. i still have about 3 more years until im done so i need to have some cash flow in the mean time. i have been considering selling health food products online, but i have no idea where to even start. it seems like everywhere i look for information is just a scam waiting for me to sign up. is there anyone that doesnt have an ulterior motive that can guide me in the general direction towards how i could get started doing something like this?

You said you wanted to sell health food products.. do you know the bands of these products? If so contact the company and inquire about being a retail distributer. If you are going to do this online, dont skimp on your website. have someone design it for you. You can advertise all you want but if you have a poor websites your customers will just hit the back button. People are more willing to purchase from a nice site than a poor site with lower prices most of the time.

You basically will need the fallowing:
- Access to wholesale health food products
- Nice website
- Capitol for advertising
- Merchant account

I would suggest having getting together some capitol and work on getting access to wholesale products BEFORE you do anything else. Once that is established then have your website made.

Also, whatever you choose to do... DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL for your business. They will see your health products as potentially high risk especially if you sell any kinds of pill (diet, placebo whatever) and as soon as you get a few sales will lock your account and hold you money (illegally i might add) for 6 months.

A really good collection of affiliate programs are and excellent way to make money. You don't need to sell a singly item all you need to to is get people to sign up exactly like you did.

www.plugonprofit.com/PIPS is a fantastic system which requires you to sign up to a few affiliate programs at a very low cost, you then get a free website created for you. The amazing thing about this program is that with only THREE sign ups you are making profit!
