What are some of your skills? Do you write? Can you design websites?

Hi. You have set of good ideas. However, you should think of other ways of creating your own business. If you are a good writer like librazoe said, then you can be a technical writer online or if you have any background in computer programming or designing then you can also work remotely.

I think the coffee idea has great potential. I know a lot of people who are really into coffee and are spending ridiculous amounts on lucrative coffee brands and new varieties.

The coffee sounds great, I am not sure hot it is regulated etc. but you need to look at your surroundings and chose the most viable and profitable option, I do not believe in doing something "that you love" or "are passionate about", that can come later, for now you have to make money.

Well, the coffee thing sounds great except that I have never heard of Nicaragua having quality coffee. I live to the country to the south and I can say that we have one of the best coffee beans in the world based on multiple expert opinions but I have never heard anything good of Nicaragua in that area.

Besides, unless you have a pretty good budget it might be harder to execute that idea considering, once again, for what I have heard Nicaragua is not some sort of quality competitor when it comes to coffee, ergo, branding it as something valuable might be hard and expensive.

I guess Silverion you are not criticizing the business, i think you just want to talk bad about Nicaragua. I dont know how much you know about Nicaragua or Coffee but 50% of nicaraguan coffee is exported to major coffee companies in the US, one of theme is Starbucks, i know the people that sells the coffee to starbucks..!

There you go If you want to start a coffee business you are going to have to convince people why Nicaraguan(not sure if thats how you would put it) is one of the best out there. I'm not going to lie, I've never heard anyone talking about the amazing coffee beans in Nicaragua but that may be because I dont really follow coffee. I'm assuming you would target consumers that are knowledgeable about coffee.
Basically if you think your product is superior than go out there and prove that it is

thanks leggomygreggo for your support, i dont know why i see this like a good idea, wont be a mass seller, but u know like selling online little bags of different coffee's from Nicaragua, now the only bad but really bad thing is DHL, FED-EX and UPS charge FREAKING lots of money i think $28 dollars, that does not work for this business. I dont know what to do, i would like to do this one but thats my biggest problem the freight.

Now my other idea is selling on ebay, but i dont think that gives a lot of money, im not asking for millions or thousands but maybe hundreds. I know this is not an entrepreneur thinking but any money right know for me is millions.!

I don't know much about coffee, but I don't think I will buy coffee over the net.

Maybe you should think about what is your strength, your passion, and don't limit your options to online business.

In case you didn´t pay attention to the post, I never talked about your country, only about its coffee. If you don´t believe me just make a poll on how many people in here have heard Nicaragua´s coffee as being (in general) of premium quality.

So basically if you are going to aim at coffee knowledgable people to sell to online, you will probably need a budget considering premium quality coffee, is obviously more expensive than regular coffee. And if $28 from Fedex sounds like a lot to you, this is probably not the direction you should go. Now as for putting up a site or just selling it somewhere online this is also very unlikely to be succesful since, again, very few people know Nicaragua´s coffee as premium coffee (lack of branding equals low value).

So my best advice is for you to hire someone or write down yourself a very nice "report" detailing the benefits and quality of the coffee you will be selling based on good statistics and images. I do warn you though, if your plans for selling coffee online are simply to repackage regular coffee you can just buy at a corner, you are likely to fail after some purchases.

I use Front Page for most of my work, although I know a lot of people don't like it because it supposedly adds html code that's not necessary. It's easy to use and it's what I learned on. I guess I'm just adverse to changing...to much of a learning curve.
