    College based businesses

I was wondering if anybody here has ever run a business that catered to college students and what was your experience? I am working on a dorm furniture business plan, basically a store focusing strictly on dorm furniture(beanbags, chairs, desks, etc). We would buy dorm furniture from students moving out of the dorms and resell it at pretty reasonable prices. Even getting some inventory for free, because it seems like a lot of students just "abandon" their dorm furniture when they move out and a lot of it ends up in the dumpster. If the idea works at our campus here, it would not be hard to replicate in other college towns. The overhead would be mininum because I could start it without having to have a brick and mortar location initially. What are your thoughts?

thats a really good idea. the same like the guys here, but for moving:
    Dorm Room Dreams - Entrepreneur.com
if you provided an online service that allowed students to browse furniture and order it to their dorm, you could make profits from moving and from furniture reselling. or you could provide a rental fee, like $30 for a full year rental for a desk, and you would take care of the delivery
