    cold call phone sales success

A good Entrepreneur has to be a great sales person. Face to face sales are difficult enough at times, but cold call over the phone sales can pose a real challenge. Here is a good link I found that can be helpful.

I found an opening script and practicing it with someone over the phones helps out alot. Over time you will become quick on your feet because every prospect is different.

Cold calling can be a real drag. While I agree with spaceghost777 that a script is essential, wouldn't it be better to do "warm calling" instead. This happens when you can offer something free (of value) to your client so that they call you instead or self refer. One trainer that I know has a website full of free advice that a person can download. He claims that he hasn't done a cold call in over 20 years, because people call him to come to their place of business to give advice or courses. It's the old Zig Ziglar thing, "Give enough people what they want, and they will give you what you want".

The other part of this is to keep existing clients warm by giving them a call from time to time. This keeps them warm. The worst thing you can do is let them grow cold and then expect them to purchase from you again when you do the "cold" call again in 2 years. Keep them hot!

    Umm

    Hello,

I've done cold sales for some years now and the
bottom line is if you use a script and it sounds
    like one you are screwed.

Create your own in a way that's comfortable to
you and run the numbers, you will get very good
    eventually in your own time.

    True True

    I like that "warm calling"
Be original. If you have something to give you will get something in return.
