yes i know, thing is im not sure if its illegal or just doesn't meet the requirements.

if its illegal ill have to stop selling it
if it doesn't meet the reqauirements then thats a different story.

But they did send the shipment back from america when i tried to get a large load into the UK, but small cases have been fine.

"thing is im not sure if its illegal or just doesn't meet the requirements"

Well, if the Packaging does not meet the requirements & it contains to much benzoic acid it sounds like it would illegal to sell. Even with out preservative amounts, and just considering the packaging, it seems that would also make it illegal to market and sell in its current form. I imagine you can face some hefty fines in the future.

Perhaps you can look into ways around these problems?

UK friendly packaging perhaps? (Though still doesn't solve the preservative issue)

In your situation I'd get in contact with some law advice and your food administration.

In defense of the drink. I personally have never had it but my friend who goes to school in Michigan loves the stuff. It is a perfect product for the college market in the US. We love to drink energy drinks at bars and use it as a chaser with hard alcohol. College students live for edgy products such as this. I think that you could have success opening the market in the US. I beleive currentrly it is llimited to a few states ( I live in mass and it has yet to come here.) While it is offensive for parents and young children to have it, it is a product college kids live for. Again I have never had the drink but what I hear from the test market in Michigan is hat with the right positiong this could rival red bull in the college market.
