    Lightbulb Clothing wholesale

    Hi everyone,
I'm the owner of a online retail store (www.modainstyle.com) that sells men's classic clothing (mainly suits and shirts) from top Italian manufacturers.
After having been in the retail biz for a while, I'd like now to start to sell wholesale as well, as we have very good contacts in hand for this business (manufacturer's distributors - top brands such as Ferre', Cerruti, Valentino, etc.).
My question is: what would be a good way to find retailers that might want to buy from us?? I know there's advertisement, forums, blogs, etc. but I'd like to hear your opinion.
Thanks in advance to anyone sharing a thought with this.
    Cheers to everyone.

    Hi Max,

Finding retailers for your business isn't exactly the easiest of tasks. The easiest way is to get a really good sales person with connections into the industry.

My parents do fashion design and manufacturing, then have to contact retailers to sell the clothing that they made. If they don't have a personal relationship to anybody within that store or company, they'll send a sales representative to cold call them or send them a sample.

Keeping a blog is crucial. It helps you gain credibility and gives your business a personal touch. If you do decide to blog, don't put advertisements on it and don't spend too much time talking about your business - spend the majority of your time discussing various topics that your business requires knowledge of. Show off your expertise. Take pictures and video of places you're visiting, people in the business that you're meeting. Put a link to your blog in all of your email signatures.

I actually wrote about this on my own blog a few days ago - http://jessicamah.com/blog/?p=87

Hope this helped. I'd love to help, because I understand the hardships of entrepreneurs like yourself!

    Best,
