    Overseas Manufacturer

    Hi Rosie,

I saw your post from June 2010 around overseas manufacturing, and am wondering how you went in finding a suitable manufacturer. My wife and I are also looking to start a small range of clothing and we are struggling to source one. As such I am just wondering how you went over the past year and a bit in solving this solution.

Please note we are not doing anything around swimwear or Rashies but it does involve stretch garments.

Any help would be great as we are struggling in this space.

    Regards,
    Mark

Firstly do you know of any well priced pattern makers in Bali or Asia who have experience with swimwear material?
What sort of costs to get a pattern made, and sample product?
Would I be better to do this in Australia first. Also I am going to Bali in September and was going to look around. Any places you suggest or where I can start.

Im sorry if these questions made sound silly but not sure where to start from.

    Hi,

My name is Chris and my wife owns a Vietnam Clothing Manufacturer company in Ho Chi Minh city. She specializes in embellished knit wear styles.

Thaison Vietnam Knit Wear Garment Factory is family owned and specializes in creative knit wear styles. We can make your designs or sell you our designs. Our focus for 2012 is to develop fabrics in Vietnam to be more price competitive. We are currently sourcing single jersey fabric using the following yarns: cotton, cotton rayon, CVC, cotton slub, viscose spandex, cotton spandex, crinkled CVC Spandex. We are also developing French Terry Pique fabrics with local knitting companies. Sourcing fabrics in China is becoming too unreliable and costly. Here are some styles we produced with single jersey fabric and our own designs.

I hope this helps. Please contact us any time.

    Chris

    Hi,

I'm from Malaysia and i'm looking for ladies apparel manufacturers in Vietnam for my clothing business. It's not a huge business, therefore i'm looking for manufacturers who can manufacture about 25-30 pieces for each design. Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

    I need help...

I am recently opened up a clothing line, due to cost of production am trying to outsource most of my productions overseas. I try looking for manufacturers in China, indian, Vietnam and Japan. I was unable to find any,I visited alibaba.com but its looked like most of the sellers are fake, scam or fraud. Most of them demand for 100% down payment before the start manufacturing your goods.I tried searching online or the net for manufacturers, but it was kind of difficult finding them online. Please i need help and contacts of a good manufacturer in this area. I am in desperate need of a good manufacturer for my shirts, t shirts, jackests, blazer...If you have any contact please feel free to reply me
    Thanks

hey Andree, how about we exchange some information and details over email. I'm a clothing manufacturer with recently moving towards online store, but somehow I lack experience/mindset for online sales and retailing. I need to find someone whoz good in this sector. I can deal the manufacturing side, but not retailing, I was wondering may be we can patch up to work something out, provided we are both not scams lol... drop me a msg or an email on info@bteez.com with details and I will get back to you, I think a skype conference will also be a good idea

totters_traders, the price fluctuates based on current cotton/raw material costs and design specs of shirts. Since i'm running a shirts manufacturing company, I would say the buying price for bulk would be somewhere around $2.5- $4.00 depending on design and print colors. labels and packing etc dont cost much, around 60% of price is the cost of raw material (fabric to be precise), 10% is generally the cost of processing (dyeing, bleach etc), 20% is the cost of printing and rest 10% includes other costs (labels, packing, overheads etc), this is why whenever there is a change in cotton prices, it carries a big impact right on the final t shirt price.
are you into clothing business btw?
