Clothing Manufacturer in China/Mexico

Does anyone have suggestions or knows someone who has done it- how to find a reputable clothes manufacturer in China or Mexico who could produce items based on my design and/or specifications?
How do I approve the sample before it goes into the production? How do they normally present fabric samples? How do people communicate their design ideas to factories in Mexico or China?
Any advice or thoughts are very appreciated.

1.search one clothing factory, then contact them.
2. communicate with them to check their ability to cooperate with you.
3. provide them your draft, think the expert in clothing factory will know how to do it. if possible, provide samples.
3. then they will make samples and send to you for confirmation.

The best way to have clothing manufactured is to have the actual Sample or Prototype, that way the factory cannot deviate too far from the original model.

If you do not have a sample or prototype, make sure all your designs and drawings are accurate. Accurate meaning all drawings must have colours, MEASUREMENTS, material, special notifications(zippers,designs, buttons etc.) and designs.

Usually a company will in Chinese call it "Da Ban" which means to make a sample, once the sample is to your liking they will then mass produce it.

The most important thing to have someone there whom can do QC, there have been stories where people love the samples, but when the big order comes only 70% are up to par and the rest have some sort of defaults.
