Clothing line info

Hey guys I'm new to the site but not new to the business world. I am a 26 year old male whose owned 2 businesses and sold them both for profit. I owned a Internet business and a bar/restaurant. Anyways now that I introduced myself lets get down to the new project.

My girlfriend and I decided to try and open up a clothing line. The thing is I have no idea where to look first. She has a degree in fashion and education/art, I obviously have business experience so I figured it would be a great combo. She has great ideas and styles already drawn up and now waiting for me to do my part but I'm clueless.
We have the idea, the plan, the short term and long term goals. Do
I look up manufacturers ?is there a website that provides them? What do i ask them or send them? Do I send out my business plan? I checked out the competors and the great thing about this is that I only found 1. I have funds to provide to start up the business please any advice and or expertise on creating a clothing line would be helpful.

I think you should test your product, make some sales and find out what people want. Find a mentor who has experience in doing what you are thinking of doing. Complete a 'simple' business plan to prove your idea. and.....and it goes on and on. Do it right.

You are not the first person to look into setting up a clothing line so there are lots of people who have made the mistakes you'll make if you don't listen to them.

Thank you, But where do i go to get the line manufactured after we make the first few ??? I think im asking the wrong question because im hearing the same answer. lol.

where do i go, another words my girlfriend doesn't want to make 50,000 products. Who will do it for us, i have no contacts in this industry so im at a dead end and dont know where to look.
