Clothing Line

I am about to start a clothing line and I was jus wondering what you guys think about the topic. I am planning on naming the line based on a personal name but also giving a special meaning. Do you guys think people will buy a tshirt with a personal name to it? or should I name the line with a more "open" name which might attract more people to buy it. Please let me know what you guys think. I am in doubt what to name the clothing line. Thanks

I like your idea, but the name depends on what kind of people you want to attract and what kind of clothes you will sell. Is it just t-shirts or other clothing as well?

Well I am planning on selling tshirts, sweaters, jeans. I want to put a casual/luxury touch to it. What I mean by personal name is...something that is related to me, and an "open" name would be something more open to the public. For example we have Sean John clothing line which is a clothing line by Sean "Diddy" Combs, and Sean John is a name based on him same thing with Tommy Hilfiger. An "open" name would be like "ENYCE" if you guys have heard of it, which mean EN-Y-CE, New York City (NYC). Let me know what you guys think.

Oh i see, well it really depends on what image you want you line of clothing to have i suppose.
If you named it after yourself it tends to have more an exclusive, designer feel, that suggests being expensive and having good quility.
All the designer labels are named after the designer, like Versace, Georgio Armani, Christian Dior etc..

Who is the target market? Where do you want these things to be sold? Who is your most direct competitor? What will make your product unique? What emotional response do you want to evoke in the consumers of your products?

So... yeah... Need more info.

How do you plan on tagging your shirts?

I've got some shirts that I have, but I want to get them tagged, and I seriously have no idea if it's too late for that now.

Anybody know of some good sites that offer good screenprinting and Hang/Woven Tagging?
