    Clothing Co. Questions

    I'am starting a clothing co.

My main question is whats on the top of my list right now.

How do I obtain a resale license (license that allows me to purchase from distributors at a wholesale rate)?

The pros to having a resale license?

    The cons, if any?

Any special things that must be done to qualify for the RL or any special tasks that must be maintained after obtaining one? (ie does it change how I must do taxes? CPA needed? etc)

I'm new to the legal aspects of business...

Thank you very much for your input.

    Thank you for your generosity.

    I have a fictitious filed...

I know there are defenite advantages to having a LLC rather than a DBA.

I'm just worried as to how complicated the transition would be to LLC. Is it easier to just have it be a sole pro? How much more complicated would it be if partner(s) were involved.

Also, what are the best avenues to take when trying to aquire LLC status.

Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge.

If any of you have aim in which we can "speak" in "real-time", that would be great.

    what state are you from?

I filed as an SCorp. From my process, you cant file a ficiticious name (DBA) without first filing some type of corporation (SCorp, CCorp, LLC).

its just paperwork and some smal cash to incorporate... very easy in Florida.
