    Chinese manufacturers?

How exactly do I find Chinese manufacturers to propose a business to them?

Is flying over there the best way or is there an online channel to go to them?

    Alibaba? Other sites?

Go to Global Sources, not alibaba. Find a factory that seems to fit your needs and begin there.

Most "manufacturers" on alibaba are simply traders, not real factories.

Without going into too much detail, see if you can find someone to work with. Be sure and keep forefront in your mind that you risk having your idea stolen. Best to get a professional involved before revealing too much.

Alibaba is okay but you are dealing with your next door neighbor most times. there are some good deals but it is alot like e bay it might be good for starting out to get your feet wet but thats is about it.What were you looking to purchase?I live in China now and depending on the products I might be able to help you keep in mind not everything is from China! I myself mostly only handle commodities but we have friends who handle other products.

    Hi Shazwi,

Great question. I have a friend who has products manufactured in China. She's a first-generation Chinese-American who speaks fluent Mandarin, and even she says she would never have worked the deal by herself. She recommends this book, but she also says she would hire an American rep to work with the factory and, if necessary, go to China with you. It's more costly, but it's well worth it in the long run.

    Hope that helps.

    To your success!

I definitely am trying to find someone but most of the time ppl don't take me seriously as they think I'm inexperienced and incapable...
