    Lightbulb Cell Ringtone Biz?

I have seen many ads on tv for cell phone ringtones, wallpaper, etc. Like Jamster " Text: Song ~ To:99847"
I am puzzled on how theses companys start. How do you run a cell phone ringtone business and what equipment is needed? Are they profitable? Any input would be great.

I was/am interested in the cell phone wallpaper business. E-mail me at djsamson11@frontiernet.net if you're interested in partnering in a site...

Ring tones can be pricy because you have to pay licensing fees. Whereas wallpapers, jokes, etc. can be made up from your own designs.

I can tell you right now, cell phone porn within the next few years will be GIANT! Not too sure the situation now, but with growing poplarity of video phones, and fast internet connections, that is a industry to get involved in.

    Try affiliate programs.
If you want to be rich, sell products and services.
If you want to be insanely rich, create and control markets.

http://www.mynumo.com is interesting, especially for people who are looking to not put 100% into the venture. But if I were to really put my all into this, I wouldn't use this site.

One of the main reasons is that we only recieve 20% for everything we sell. I do understand that mynumo is the one marketing and bringing in all the customers, but I would be willing to invest my own marketing budget and labor for a larger percentage of the profits.

I'm thinking about starting a mobile business. This business will specialize in unkown bands and singers. I like this niche because I know for a fact that my target audience can never find good but unknown bands using the big named ring tone businesses.

Wallpaper wise, I'm going to specialize in the male market. Humorous sayings, sporting logos and bikini babes will take up most of the designs.

I would also like to set-up a weekly texting plan. Customers can buy weekly jokes, weekly dating tips and weekly sports updates, but primarily focusing on motorsports.

I have a similar business plan as http://www.jamster.com, but I'm looking more into unknown bands, funnier wallpapers texting updates will be targeted at race fans insteand of just sporting fans.

    My biggest uphill battles are:

1.) Finding a service that can transfer items from the computer database to each person's cell phone
2.) How customers can pay using their phones other than paypal (most teens don't have paypal accounts.)
    3.) Building the overall site
