Capitalism at work...candy bans create black market

Local News: Students turn a profit from candy sales | candy, profit, sales - Victorville Daily Press

Victorville, CA is on the edge of the Mojave Desert, on the other side of the San Bernadino Mountains from the freeways, several hours from LA.

Who woulda thunk that banning junk food would bring out the nascent Warren Buffett in some kids, and create a black market to the extent that the kids are still fat? Clue for liberals: trying to force people to do things which are "good for them" but which they don't want to do always backfires, as people will do it anyway, only this time illegally. And somebody will make a profit off it.

Can't agree more on this point. The free market always wins out, despite the attempts of those who wish to suppress it.

The secret to getting kids to lose weight, get them off the couch, playing video games and watching TV, and outside playing games with each other.
Conservative opinions from someone who thinks a little differently than most.
