homepage is very plain.
i'd recommend going to some law websites and see what looks like a professional layout and then do something similar to that.

It looks very basic, as if you designed it on Frontpage. Colours are dull, the black along the left is awkward, would prob work better centrered. Needs some time and effort spent on it.

It is very basic and needs improvments, but, consider this. When people go to a law firm's site they are not looking for flashy graphics, slide shows, music, revolving widgets, etc. They want to find the information they need and contact you. Most average people do not careless whether your site is flash or html or whether you use special tech features, etc. They want to be able to easily find what they are looking for.
I don't think you'll need some high tech, lots of bells and whistles website for your industry. It could use some improvements though, but, you don't need to go crazy.
Improve the layout and make the site a little brighter. I have an idea for what you should do, but I just can't place my finger on it. The site's definitely lacking something.
Just my $0.02

In firefox there seems to be a text issue. The word LAW appears in bold in the middle of your body text for some reason.

I think the site was very plain and I think some of the grammar could have been better. Also, the word LAW gets in the way of the information sometimes. I have to ask this, why do you include information on the climate and other aspects of Canada? It didn't fit well with me. But of course, that's just my opinion.

I agree with others that the website is quite plain and the colours, font and layout you have chosen just doesn't come across as professional. As your business is in the legal sector, your website should reflect your credibility and professionalism.
I also don't get the "About Canada" section. It seems like you have just copied and pasted sections from the Canada Citizen and Immigration site.

first, your home page is too simple,in other words , it is not professional ,just a para describing your business. second , your site is not user-friendly.forgive me, the first sight i saw it , i wanna to quit.to make your site attractive , your should pay attention to the color , font , web graphics.i suggest you study other law websites and then duplicate their
good points.
