C Corporation vs. S Corporation vs. LLC

Which is the best way to get for a small business that just started in 2010. And "small" meaning my business location is the same as my residence.

In your case, most likely LLC but read on first before you jump the gun. The biggest difference between the 3 structures, or as far as why you would choose one structure over the other, is typically because of tax advantages. There are other differences but the one people are most concerned with are in regards to tax. Having said that, a C corp totally does not make any sense in any regards to a small business, particularly if it plans on staying a small business.

Now the debate between whether its better as an LLC or S Corp highly depends on the type of business (like if it's an online venture, what kind), and the amount of volume you expect the business to do. I'm not an attorney or a tax expert and every business is different and judged on a case by case basis and therefore I recommend you consult an actual attorney to determine which is the best business model base on your business. But from what I can tell with what little detail you've provided (which is a bad way to gauge anything), LLC is your most probably structure.

If i was you i would do an LLC. With an LLC they cannot go after your personal assets if you get sued.
