Buying and Selling with a twist

Hi,

I was wondering what people think about a buying and selling website of particular commodities, were before people go and view the item and exchange cash they can book an appointment with the seller to view the item via video chat and then once theve come to an agreement go and meet the seller to buy the item.

this benefits the buyer as they can check all aspects of what they are buying instead of travelling a distance to look at the item and can request all the needed documents and ask questions about what there are buying aswell. Also its a much safer as they can meet their seller via video before goin with cash to buy the item.

what do you think? obv it will only work with high value items

You can make a lot of money off it, on sites like flippa, but you have to be careful of scammers. Most sell for about 10 times what they make in a single month off it, If you do decide to sell a site always use a escrow service. I personally think growing a site and profiting it over the years is more valuable in the long hall then selling, but whatever you want to do.

Lol I think you missing the idea the idea is like craiglist but with a video option were you can have a conference call with the seller before going to buy the item like property or a car (high value items)

I like the idea a lot. Maybe you could require everyone with an account to have to register a skype name or Facebook video name or something. I just read a newspaper article where a police station is letting people from craigslist come to the police station to make mutually safe transactions so there is a market for making the classified market safer. I might even add an escrow service if you can and also do not make it local but make it global where shipping is available. I really do like the idea of a video based marketplace and I hope you go through with it. Maybe make and Ebay like auction site but to post a product you have to have a video featuring it. I do think you are onto something.

as recording a video takes time and effort?

It takes some time from the past but once you are aware of what you have to do. Videos are cool ways to get customers.
