Business trying to reach car buyers!

Good Morning guys,

I have somewhat of a marketing conundrum. I have started a small business a year ago that caters to those car shopping. I basically help them identify what they need/want and take care of the negotiating. Any ideas of how to reach them before they go the dealerships?

did you make a business plan? do you have a website? have you printed up flyers and business cards? leave flyers at check cashing places, tax refund places. maybe offer a referral fee? post on craigslist...all that good stuff.

Thanks Rookie! I have a business website. It's now featured in my signature. Those places you recommended definitely lit a bulb in my head. Perhaps I can pitch our services to small banks and insurance companies. The key is getting those that are already car shopping. Not those that aren't. Everybody knows the auto industry hasn't been as high as it was in '05. It is estimated to hit over 11million units in the U.S. next year. That would be a record in itself.

I've even entertained the idea of hiring young hungry marketers. Sadly it would have to be 100% commission based first. That's seldom encouraging for people. I appreciate all advice.
