Hello everyone. I just found this message board, and it looks like a great resource. I have a question regarding the business that I am involved in, and would greatly appreciate some help. This is my first entrepreneurial venture.
In September 2008, I was hired as the marketing director for a startup small business. The business is set up as a partnership between two guys. I have worked very hard, and generated a huge amount of business, and the owners want to make me an equal business partner (33.3%). They are preparing to incorporate the company, and would list me as a one third owner.
In terms of the financing of the business, I have no capital to invest in it. My question is, can I still be considered an equal partner, even if I have no money to invest?
