I have found that if you have skills in coding and design, you need very little to start up a very succesful online business. I recommend that you go to ResellersPanel.com and get a free reseller account. With a startup cost of $8 (your domain) you can sell hosting, and really learn a lot about marketing. Then see where that takes you.

BTW you don't need to network at all to gain success. I have done zero networking, yet run a very succesful business. Most people I know don't know what free hosting is anyway

Highschool Lawn Mowing Business

Looks like when you post here theres alot of mean replies. You made it clear you wanted serious suggestions.

Well, if you want to learn how to start a lawn business then there is a site you may want to check out.

This guy started his business as a teenager and ended up making more money mowing lawns than his parents combined.

He has some down-to-earth lawn business tips you can check out.

His website is www.howtostartyourlawncarebusiness.com

Hope that helps.

Cheers

you could start a website about something you are interested in. If it is unusual enough and specific enough, you could probably become the de facto "expert" on the subject by organizing what little information is already out there.

maybe if you teach the visitors something it will give them a reason to visit. I knew how to do a one handed shuffle, so i filmed it, built a little tutorial, and now it is getting traffic from all over the world.

Yep I have the perfect thing for you..Since your in high school why not start up a fundraising company that goes into public schools like your high school, your local middle schools, and the counties near you and promote arm wrestling tournaments as a fundraiser..Charge $10 to $12 dollar entry fees and give the schools 20 to 30% of the profits as a fundraiser..Just contact your principle and have the school hand out the flyers that you create..Its that simple..The only cost to start this is the cost for paper and ink to print out these flyers.

There are a lot of ways to make money online.

If you are knowledgeable about the internet, you could try Internet Marketing. If you don't have a website, that's not a problem..
