Business Ideas for a Tennis Coach?

I am a college student, going into my senior year. I am on the tennis team and I make money by giving private lessons and practicing with advanced players for about $30 an hour. It's not bad but I can't help but think that with a little creativity and hard work I could come up with a way to make steadier and more income without having to spend hours in the hot sun. Also, it is sporadic, sometimes I have many lessons a week, sometimes I have none at all.

Anyone have an idea for me, either tennis "expert" specific or just a good business idea for a college student?

    Thanks!

I have the perfect idea for you actually, why don't you start a website explaining everything you know about tennis and you could even offer your private lessons to wider audience and be able to charge higher prices.

Check out Site Build It! and if you can follow through with what they offer I would be willing to bet you could become quite successful. They handle all the technical stuff, all you need to do is write and reap the benefits.

or what about giving group listens, go around and look for those moms that walk together in groups and hand them a flyer and a pitch, or go see if all there little kids want to learn as a group
You can't achieve your goals if you don't take that chance so go pry open your trunk and take those amps.

To get a site going, all you would need is a domain name (~$10-$15/year), hosting (~$10/month), and Wordpress. Then put in some AdSense and write, write, write. This would reach a larger audience and would build trust within your expertise for potential clients.

As far as bringing in a steadier income. Have you thought about a tennis camp of some sort. Like a 2-3 month training session for newcomers or those looking to gain more experience. You could charge all up front, or weekly. Then have 4-6 sessions a year and get people to sign up ahead of time.

Then you could direct your clients to your site to buy new equipment, books, etc., and have amazon affiliate links so you can collect commissions as well as get the impressions for AdSense.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

    Good luck.

Yea, this could easily work for your situation and if you explore enough you'll find examples of professionals who have no technical knowledge but decided to go online to help expand their business and now have way more business then they can handle. Plus you could start making great money just with Google Adsense from writing quality articles about tennis as well.
