Exclamation business idea! but not time or funds

Hi everyone, what would you suggest if:

I had a great online business idea but neither the time or money to start it right now. What would my options be in order to get around this hurdle? I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of selling my idea... how would I go about it? cheers

There is no around that hurdle, and you cant sell an idea. It would be like trying to sell air.

You can find someone who'll be willing to invest in your idea. OR, do what many people do and get a day job to fund your project.

I'd have to agree... noone buys air unless they want to go diving or outer orbit skydiving... is that your target market (so to speak)?

Haha, I only just read that part about selling an idea. That would indeed be very difficult esp. because most people think they have that "million dollar idea".

I would get somebody to be your partner or investor. Nobody will buy an idea. If the idea is good, they'll just steal it.

I have always had the belief that there are many great ideas.
But it is the people that can see the ideas through to completion that are considered the geniuses when we look back, though you may not always recognize such people when they are in the midst of implementation.

Well you should email me...I have the time. I'm looking for great ideas. Or I'll partner with you if I like the idea.

Get off your lazy ass and find the time and money to make it happen... or you'll end up sixty years old telling your grand kids about this idea that you once had that could have helped you not need to live off of social security.

Are you one of those people who have time and money to get to your $12 per hour job but not the time and money to work on an idea that could make you a fortune? Trading dollars for hours will eventually get you to Social Security at age 65 but you won't be happy about it!

Hey there Cloudie - I completely understand your position and I'm right with you - now for the rest of you that just insinuated that she is lazy..you do not know that to be true..she is here looking for answers, right? Most people never even look and they die with their ideas.

My two cents are this - keep looking, keep working - see what trusted entrepreneurial types think of your idea without completely giving it away. Get socializing with business owners and people with capital. Some ideas people have are stupid, some are labor intensive for the ROI and not worth doing. But...some are brilliant. Start bootstrapping it piece by piece and keep looking for either the free/investment labor or full capital to see if you can test your market and idea and then move to investors for a full launch.

To say I understand...is that I want to expand my business and I have another piggyback idea too -but not enough capital to really test it yet and certainly not enough to launch it - so...I have been talking to all the sources of people with $money$ and knowledge - I now have a free creative design person, a free pay per click expert, a copy writer who will give me a deal. People believe in me and then they want to help and some have told me they often invest in companies for a piece of the action down the road - keep looking and keep being creative.

    Happy creating -

    Andrea

No money and no time to start a business? Then you have no business. Nobody is going to buy your idea, they are a dime a dozen.
