Business Grants

Have anyone received any business grants and didn't have to pay it back? I was reading this book on Matthew Lesko called "Free money for Entrepreneurs" have anyone read this book and am I wasting my time reading this?

Red face grants

You do not need to pay back a grant. what you will have to do is pay the taxes on a grant. The only things you dont have to pay taxes on are awards...and its practically impossible to get those.

but back to grants.
If you are unsure of what you are eligible for (what types of grants) I suggest you check out www(dot)free-government-grants(dot)info used them before and they figured out what programs to apply for.

You are probably wasting your time. I just posted on my blog about this...ever since this Lesko went on late night tv with his infomercial people started to believe you can get a government grant for a business startup. The fact of the matter is that grants are just not given out for for-profit businesses. check out my blog (below) for more detail.
