I am most likley going to opening a second store soon, just wanted to hear prople's thoughts on using a business coach to point me in the right direction in setting up new systems within the business.
Have you lot ever used one? Are they worth it ?

If you already have a store open and have enough revenue to open a second what do you expect to extract from a business coach?
well, I would strongly recommend that. I have had coach and mentor, and the right person helps alot. As your business grows you have to surround your self people who have been there. Look for some having expertise in franchise/brand marketing/law. Make sure you ask for references and don't be shy to check the references. Another way that I used in my last venture was to build the advisory board. If you want to discuss in detail send me a private message.
I agree with you Ahmedmashhood. Having all the right people around you is great. A good example is that when you are thinking of selling, your network would strong enough, so that you can sell quickly.
I would like to know what type of businesses both of own?
God Bless,
Jason
What kind of store do have going now? Are you profiting from it? Do you feel that you need help in some areas of business. I have never had a business coach before but I think if you are having problems with any of the above, that you might want to look into it. Alot of times they can give you useful information to help guide you along.Originally Posted by Giulio Taranto

Can any of the above posters explain what's the go with business coaches/mentors?
Do you pay them or is it done out of good will?
I figure the best place for a biz mentor would be to befriend a current or retired business owner in your same industry and just do each other favours. e.g. give him/her discounts or something
Get involved with your local chamber of commerce.
(all these things I need to do be doing, but haven't got around to sadly)
cheers

more heads are better than 1 so get as many good people around you as you can because the chances of success will be much greater
