Not to put your idea down, but what anyone can do is to save a message on the cell phone and then just text it to the person you would like to have the information, just an idea.

    this is just an advert!!!!!

Anyway...not that you asked for feedback or anything....but, I don't like it.
How is this supposed to work if you meet a potential client and have to give them your details...by text?
Anyway, business cards really do say alot about your business - they way they're designed and quality of print etc. can all be used to great effect when trying to achieve the image that your business is professional.

$60/6months? so basically you have to have two or more people wasting their money to swap business cards. I think if this is going to work at all the key is to make it free.

    Smile Rebuttal

The above post are all good comments on this service, which I am the owner of, so i will tackle each one.

First, it would just be easier to text each other: That is great for a one to one meeting and there is nothing wrong with that, but what about seminars and conferrences. wouldn't it be easier to havi 1 sign that tell potential clients how to get your contact information? Plus, in my experience people usually just take business cards because they are offered, think of the amount of paper you could save.

To the second poster, this is an entreprenurial forum, and the basis of entreprenuriulism is to gain business, so if I affended you I apologize, but you are reading this forum in the hopes of starting your own business.

And finally to the third poster, you are right, but like I wrote to the second poster we are in the business of making money, and if we can help the environment too, thats a bonus. Plus, the only service I've seen giving away free business cards is VistaPrint, but they too are truely not FREE.

Thank you for your interest in my service, and posting your comments.

Firstly, I dont think i would do business with someone that text me their business card, doing business deals and signing new clients is about building trust. Usually that will take a face to face meeting or as you say a conference...where the talk after it. Messages also take up memory on the phone, so what if the person you sent your business card to on the phone got a new phone, lost theirs, was stolen, broken or just needed memory, the texts will be deleted. Your text will not stand out in any way. So in order to make sure this doesnt happen to all you business cards you would have to write down the details. Paper is being used, which defeats your ideal concept because its at a bigger cost to the person that send the text because when the client writes the business card it could be on a post it!! Thats not the message you want to send.
And just one more point, you think this will reduce costs to the person, thats not going to happen with the price that your charging because when you take that into consideration with the minimal impact that a text has compared to a business card the person has already lost!

you didn't 'affend' (offend) me I just don't think forums like this should be used as a tool for spam. If you don't have a question to ask in a post - then don't post!

I agree with fthom, maybe if you gave us the idea as your own and asked for advice instead of trying to make a sales pitch from the beginning then you would have better feed back. It appears like your just here to advertise..
