    Cool

    Hi Ben

See what other people are doing that is so successful, and use your imagination.

Or rather see what other people are NOT doing. Best advice I could give to someone on a budget is find a niche. Good tip for doing this is to go to a decent newsagents and look through all the hobbies/interest magazines. Find something strange and research how well supplied hobbiests from this field are.

Alternatively, think about things that you enjoy doing. The chances are that if you enjoy it then there are other like you. The added bonus is that you will be working in an area that you enjoy and is familiar to you.

It's not an easy task Ben, if there was an easy answer then you wouldn't have asked the question so don't pay too much attention Moneymaka's advice to 'use your brain'. Utilising multiple sources of information is an admirable trait shared by many established entrpreneurs. Keep at it!

Though you can't deny the fact that he has to use his brain.

I think his stupid question fits my stupid answer.

Allow me to qualify my statement. People can find great success in what nobody else is doing, so see what these people are doing, and be one of the few others that does it as well. It is good to be the only one doing something, but right now as he's asking for innovative ideas that's a good way to start.

Apologies Scott, I wasn't disagreeing with you in the slightest. Everything you said was perfectly true. I was just offering the other side of the coin.
