    Building a Prototype

Hello All. I am new to the group.

Anyway. Any suggestions on how to go about getting a prototype built for an product idea? A simple plastic mold won't do. I have an electrical product idea in which all tecnological componets are preexisting so its creation wouldn't require extensive research. I just a need a few pointers on how to go about actually getting it created though, which I imagine needs to be done in order to effectively market it. I don't fully understand the whole process, but how does anyone go about actually inventing a product and getting it to market...and not get ripped off in the process. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks guys!

Hire an engineer to do the work for you if you don't know how to go about doing it yourself. Have them sign an NDA.

If you want specific help with what it will take to get your product produced, I'm an electrical engineer and can help you.
