    Brokers

    Hi there

I was just wondering whether anybody knows of any online brokers which charge a reasonable rate of commission but have their own sotware with which i can directly execute my orders over the market. I spent a week at the United Bank of Switzerland for my work experience, and itr has really encouraged me to invest in the stock market.

The only problem i have with finding a broker is that the majority don't have good software...they want people to execute orders directly using an online form which is reaaally stupid as customers can't get an accurate price and also can't view the orderbook (i'll mainly be trading on LSE). I know some shares which have reasonable liquidity ad are rising at a reasonable pace (more than the interest on my bank account) so sounds like a good idea.

    Any Help ??

you can still participate being a non US citizen, but there's a limit on the types of UK securities you can trade

Thanks, i will read into it. The only problem i have trading on the US markets is that the rules are very different to the UK, and generally the hours it is open are not within my time frame realistically. What's annoying is that most online brokers charge a flat fee per trade instead of the traditional base point system, and most take batch orders and settle them at time intervals instead of providing direct market access, so a specific price is not guaranteed.
