    Books on SEO

    Hi,
I'm just curious...are there any books that I can read regarding SEO? Would it be best to just search out information on google? Thanks in advance.

It depends on how much you want to spend. I've taken courses that cost $2000 and ones that have cost $250. I would say you are better off buying a course then you are a book. You need interaction with other people to test out ideas. If you are interested I can recommend three different courses based on the amount of money you want to spend.

Are you looking to start a business doing SEO or do you just want to learn how to do it for your own site?

Look into viral marketing, it's all the rage, and a bit of common sense like well formed mark-up and relevant page titles. Never try figure out the search-engines, don't go against the grain you'll have a very difficult time. Anway I recommend Search Engine Optimisation an hour a day, you can find it on Amazon - a very good book indeed.

Best way is to learn it by doing and to do it we have to learn it.Chicken and Egg case. So,the issue is the starting point as you wanted to know.I was in a similar situation sometime back and I bought "Art of SEO".It was good.I think I can recomend it.It was a good start and isnt too expensive either. But mind you, reading alone wont help you.You should get your action kit ready to get exposure to the real world SEO and its a huge business nowadays.

    @ RCB,
I'm looking into SEO for personal website purposes. What is the price range of those courses? And would you say that there is any significant difference between the more expensive courses than the cheaper ones that you've taken? Thanks.

    @ Micha8I,
Thanks will check it out. Thanks.

    @ Elsoft,
Art of Seo...Will check that one out too. Thanks.
