bookkeeping software question

Hello peoples.

just a quick question. what should I look for in bookkeeping software? It is alright to be just a general ledger system that an accountant can view and retrieve the files from? Or is it best to have a system that has all the bells and whistles?

just looking at other options that are out there because I don't use Windows and Quickbooks is a Windows application.

Sidomac is one option. It is a General Ledger and fully online. This was one option that I am considering... but was wondering what others thought that was a main need for a bookkeeping system.

I can do my own cheques and invoices... and receive receipts as needed...

Is this good enough?

Thanx

That shouldn't be a problem considering Windows is the most used OS and IE is the default browser that comes with Windows.

I was psyched to get Quickbooks but my CPA wasn't so
excited about it! Her complaint was that lots of people
don't use it correctly so the data she gets from them
to do their tax returns is not accurate.
