Blogging Anyone?

We want to get some feedback from our members on the possibility of integrating user blogs into the site.

In response to user requests we have been considering an integration of a blogging system that will fully integrate with vBulletin. The YE MEMBER Blog will enable us to allow forum members to maintain weblogs from their user control panel.
The vBulletin inline moderation system makes it easy to ensure that blogs and comments do not contain unwanted material or SPAM.

Additionally, the YE Blog adds social networking functionality to the YE community, which will enable you to quickly and effectively make connections and form relationships. Member profile pages will be extended to include an enhanced buddy system, visitor tracking, blog integration and a comment system, all housed within a new and improved profile page template together with improved delivery of existing profile information.


We are committed to installing tools to enhance the YoungEntrepreneur.com community experience to assist with the growth of your business.

If the response is favorable then this could be integrated within the next week or so.

Good idea. I wouldn't want to give up my main blog on the side though. If they could be integrated somehow, so I post on my blog, but the YE blog pulls the feed, then that would be good. But I wouldn't want to post in two places.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, we are looking into the feed idea that you mentioned and I should have an answer for you soon. I know that there are a good handful of the YE members with Blogs but I know that based on the PM's I have received, that many of you don't have blogs. Looking forward to hearing some more feedback.

Great idea. You guys just keep surpising us with goodies. Will there be a section dedicated to blogs on the website?

Maybe you could make a room dedicated to blogs. We could post our blogs & tell what material the blog is related to. Then people can search for related material to read about. I really like to read blogs. Maybe some other would like that also.

Blogs are now up but they will be VIP only, you can purchase VIP for a small payment each month. The service should be launched tomorrow. The money will go towards new cool features and will keep the site running .

What else do you get with VIP? What are the advantages of having VIP? I don't see how paying to get a blog is a benefit, when you can get one for free from dozens of places online. Can you purchase it with points?

I am interested it the blogs. especially if we can feed from one that we have else where. I am in the process of setting up my own blog right now.

At the moment, you can get feeds out of the blog but you can't put feeds into it. I may code that as an add-on feature at a later date if it is popular demand. In the mean time if you have another blog you can just copy and paste .

For a beginner who wants to begin to blog, but hasn't the first clue how to do it, I think this is a great idea.
