Blog Post: What to know about updating your blog

So for those of you that have been following my blog RCBryan.com you know that I just went through the largest update that I’ve ever done. While it was a little daunting it did teach me a few things about the process. I want to outline what I’ve learned so that hopefully when it comes time for you to start a new blog or to redesign your current blog you’ll be a step a head of the game.

This is the last segment of my blog I'm working on. I've finally got the page structure correct and 95% of the content built out. Everyone knows videos is where the most traffic comes from. My developer set-up a nice structure for this. I just have to learn to work it correctly. Expect new video posts next week.

I've seen a huge increase in almost every element

Most importantly is time on site & my bounce rate
time on site: 7m10s up from under 1m
bounce rate: 30.60% down from 79.85%

Traffic
Visitors is moving up quick w/ a 30 day average of 64 and and 14 day average of 101
Page views is moving up as well w/ a 30 day average of 360.2 and a 14 day average of 409.8

The things I still need to do is to better incorporate my adsense so I can profit from the increase in traffic and then also build out the rest of my service offerings and affiliate programs.

This will take a little time with everything else I have going on... but will be done soon
