    Blackberry or Crackberry?

I made the switch from the iPhone to a Blackberry Bold about a month ago, and can honestly say that I made the right choice. The iPhone was great for media, but lacked what I needed in the email department.

I am on the road for business more often than not, and even though I keep my laptop and 3g card handy, I answer most of my emails using my phone. The Blackberry Bold offers everything that I need in the email department. Using the Blackberry Email Server, I actually get most of my emails quicker on my phone than I do on my laptop.

How many of you out there use RIM products?

I think as a business tool i would use the Blackberry,i use a laptop with a Vodaphone 3g card in for surfing the net and emails but is a bit big to travel around with so i am also looking at getting a 9inch laptop which is about the same size as diary but much lighter.

I just got the Blackberry Pearl about 2 months ago. I use it for my office email, my personal email, and for my email account at the college where I am an adjunct professor. I think you can have ten email accounts on it. The best feature, I find, is the filter that allows me to dictate which messages do NOT get forwarded to my device. I'd rather not have my pocket vibrating every time a listserv message or some newsletter comes to my inbox.

Blackberry Messenger (BBM, to the initiated) is a great feature, too. The downside is that it only works with other BBs, but it is much faster than text messaging and allows you to send files back and forth.

Overall, the device is well worth it (so far).

I am an iphone user and unfortunately even though I tried the bold I couldn't make the switch. I like having a device that I can do everything with from music, apps, email, browsing. Given the larger screen of the iPhone I find my experience a lot more enjoyable.

i use a blackberry storm, i find it extremely convenient with my email, also i use it as an ipod when i go to the gym in the mornings. however when using the media it gets kind of laggy sometime.... But i believe since its new there are going to be alot of software updates and such, and when the apps start comming out i think it will be great! I dont like the verizon service though, expensive

The Blackberry is a far superior product in terms of business applications. From my experience in the cellular industry, The iphone is mainly for media consumers due to easy access to movies and music but not suited for corporate individuals needs. But I here that Apple is working on a new version of their email software in order to capture these type of users as most large companies are requesting that employees not use iphones on their networks. I would suggest the Bold to casual users, the curve for more business applications and the storm if you want the best of both worlds(iphone and blackberry).

I heard the storm is terribly flawed when it comes to using the touch keyboard...heard anything about that?...I know a few unhappy storm owners lol...

Verizon did release a firmware update at the begining of December 08 but I don't think it addresses some of the lag the storm experiences, but users have reported that once the update was installed it drastically improved performance.
