    Biz trip to china.

    Hey,

I really want to take a business trip to china. I was wondering if anyone frequents china, or has been there on business and would be willing to discuss and answer some related questions. Also, if anyone wants to go as a partner I currently don't have anyone to go with and don't want to go alone.

    Thanks,
    Peter

Never been to China. I have been to Japan and Singapore, and will be back in Japan for a couple weeks next month for a seminar. So if you have questions on those two countries I could help you.

Various imports for retail sales. I don't really focus on a single product category, but instead individual products with high demands.

You want to go there not knowing what you want? That bad. Electronic? Clothing? Foot Wear? etc etc. If you know what you actually need then I might be able to help a bit. And seriously I don't think you need to go to Taiwan first. There isn't a particular part in Taiwan where the local can speak fluently in English. There are similar to China in fact if you go to place like Shang Hai or Guang Zhou you can bet that there might be even more people that can speak English than in Taiwan.

Oh, I know what I want, Mainly a random assortment of many products, I currently import auto parts so I would definately want to go to zejiang province/ruian city, I will most likely make contact with all the other suppliers before going.
Cutebeast I have many questions if you have been and feel you could help me.

    Let me know

Hey pboychuk, I've been visiting China and involved with the Chinese since 1997. In fact I just returned home from a 6 month trip. I would gladly answer any questions you may have...post them up! It's always best to go well informed.

I find there are alot more western based companies and people in taiwan there for i found the communication alot easier. But thats just personal preference. i also found that taiwans industry is alot better governered and easier to stay out of trouble.

The only problem is I already work with companies in china. And I plan to communicate with additional companies before I go, I don't know if switching to taiwan because the language is what I need to do
