This is the problem with the "green" movement - people just want to get in on the growing craze. It helps explain why a recent survey indicated that 70% of the American population views this movement as nothing but a marketing ploy.

This is not meant to offend you, but why are you wanting to "start a green business?" What do you want to do? Do you have any ideas? Are you concerned with saving the world, so to speak, or cashing in on the growing concern with the environment?

I completely agree with you on the marketing ploy aspect of "green" technology.
Whether you believe this or not, I have been a believer in doing something for many years now, before this craze came along.

As for the business side of this, I was thinking along the lines of possibly a promotional solar company. Solar saves a lot of money, cuts down on energy usage tremendously, and is relatively inexpensive.

Anything that has to deal with a sustainable environment. Quite broad but there are lots of things you can do.

Else I suggest that you surf to some local university or research center sites and see what they are focusing on. That should give you some headway.

Last but not least, I personally see solar power as a potential.
