Do you find any benefits company must be getting by contacting consultancy service providing firms rather than independent consultants(Freelancers) ? I am not asking about placement consultancy firms but those firms which provide business consultancy services for example growth strategy, management strategy etc.

If companies contact independent consultants, they will get service in cheaper rates by avoiding commission of consultancy firm. So, how do these consultancy firm survive ?
