Write a full business plan with cashflow and other financial predictions for the next 3-5 years. PaloAlto has a very good business plan program, and if you buy the premiere edition it helps you create and analyze financials, it costs $200 but I have found it a very useful. Once you have accomplished this condense the plan into a 150-250 word pitch, commonly called an elevator pitch. You should memorize this and be able to recite it within a minute or two. Make sure that it includes the most important information and the basic ideas of your company. You want to get investors interested and have them ask more. You can search google and find many outlines of what to include in this. An ENT professor here at school says to include:
1. Introduction 2. Problem 3. Opportunity 4. Resources Required 5. Returns to Investor
6. Closing/Tag Line
A good powerpoint can aid this pitch if you are giving it to a group of investors. This is where your graphic design talents can come into play.
I hope this helps your venture
