Banks

I was just wondering what banks people use for their business and why they chose that one. I have a bank for personal use but I'm not sure if I would like to use that for professional use as well.

I am not sure about this what I am about to say but according to my accounting teacher they said that you have to open your business account you can't mix in your business plus your personal account at the banks.

I am in the proccess of starting a company I don't have a business bank account yet but for personal uses I use a credit union.

When I said I'm not sure if I'd like to use my bank for professional use I didn't mean the same account I meant use that bank to open a business account.

I use Wachovia & US Bank for my personal accounts. I'd use only US Bank if they had more branches in DC.

I use Bank of America for my primary business. I really hate BOA but have not found a better bank to use. Every month they seem to screw something up. I'm currently using to many of their services to change easily. I think that was their goal all along... those slimey bastards!

We use Bank of America because it has a location in just about every city in which we can imagine doing business.

Commerce Bank (soon to be TD) here for biz and personal. Can't beat a bank that's open seven days.

I've always used local banks, but I am actually now looking at national or regional options: SunTrust, perhaps. Local banks tend to give much better service, but suppliers, customers, or anyone else you send a check to tends to be wary of a no-name bank and any company using that bank. It's more of a legitimacy factor, for me.
