“I’m going to be rich” - this infamous quote has boggled my mind for years and I have lost interest in entertaining it. I am an entrepreneur, investor, and a go getter. I never wait for an opportunity, I do not procrastinate, and I sure as hell do not tell people that one day I will be rich. I speak with actions and not with words, but I have found that the majority of the population (~97%) just do not grasp the concept of working hard.
Today is January 16th 2005 - I spent my day creating advertisements for one of my seven companies and researching new
SEO techniques to increase my page rank and Internet traffic. I am a young guy and a two of my friends from back home have moved in with me here in Miami Beach, FL. Off the topic? Yeah I am aware of that, but today while I worked feverously to increase my ranks and become more available to my clientele, my friends watch 4 movies and played 7 video games.

No exaggeration here…they never left the condo and to be frank, only one of the two even bothered to shower. So what is the point of putting my personal life on the net? To point out the difference between those who achieve, create, build, desire, and strive as opposed to those who give me the common 5 word quote, “I’m going to be rich”.
The term used above is never followed by a plan of action, or even an educated hypothesis of how to create wealth. Instead, the source of the I’ll be rich quote is pure ignorance. People who have yet to leave the womb and prefer to focus on their warped reality than the one that exists just outside of their video game. To be honest, it bothers me to an extent of madness. I work very hard to create wealth and be successful in my eyes and in the eyes of those around me and yet some people just don’t get it. The controversy of rich and poor exists only in the mind of the poor who blame the rich. This is not a 14th century kingdom where the rich are wealthy because they tax and steal from the poor. Today’s rich are so because they have taken the bull by the horns and created their wealth. They educated themselves, became affluent in taxes, real estate, and general business practices that most are too lazy to search for. The rich are rich because they know how to work the system, and they can do so because they know the benefits of education, research, and hard work.
So by now you can probably assess that I am a little mad; and you would be correct. I see the same things everyday and honestly, I am not sure if I am angry with the worlds population or if I am saddened. How discouraging it must be to prefer a stupid reality show over educating yourself for your own future.
The bottom line is, which type of person are you? Do you say things like “I’ll be rich one day” without a plan and lacking in seriousness or do you attack each day as though your future depended on it?
