    Asterisk PBX on Linux Machine

Has anyone tried running Asterisk the PBX system for Linux? Any pointer in choosing the right hardware and software is appreciated. I am planning to buy a machine specifically for the PBX setup and want to make sure I do the right thing. Thanks.

We looked into Asterisk, not very stable and very managment heavy. I wouldn't recomend it. If your just starting out I would look at a hosted solution or maybe even Microsoft's Live Comm. Server.

Hi, Asterisk is awesome. Any new pc will work great, but make sure you buy from neobits dot com The generic stuff works, but has echo problems sometimes. I find that the genuine neobits’s stuff works the best. I have run asterisk on all kinds of hardware, and I have had no problem with it. The faster the hardware, the more concurrent conversations can be piped through asterisk. You will live it.
    Cheers!

    Hi,

Im not sure what kind of VOIP PBX phone system we have, our techs did it. But it is really cool.

Goto our site RTDesignGroup.com - Affordable Web Site Design, Start Living with Solutions., click the call button...after that you put in your phone number and it rings your phone then our phone. Its amazing!

I know we can help install this PBX, we dont normally do it, PM if you wanna know more or contact on the site.
