I'm kind of lost. So you want to start an overall brand that will start businesses related to the things you mentioned?

My question to you is, what is your niche? What makes your business special? Companies often use terms like "speedy" or "best" in their name to market their niche.

What idea are you going to go with? I've known people to have a ton of great ideas, but then jump around so much that nothing ever works out for them.

This might help

Hi

First some marketing info:

The first thing you must do is decide on your niche market. Find out what they want and how they want it.

Then, look at your competitors and what they are offering. Don't cut yoursef short or de-value your product or service just to comete.

if you do not value yourself then your prospects will not either.

As for choosing a name, this can be tricky as most good name are gone by way of domain names. What you have offline may not be available online.

Pick one that is easy to remember, easy to spell, easy to type and one that sticks in peoples mind. you DO NOT have to choose a name just becuase it is in your industry.

Try: clubpassion.com, clubexecutive.com etc...

The name you need to use is one that represents wealth, success, strength and one that people can relate too.

try to choose a name that makes you look and sound exclusive and executive. Unless of course you are going for the cheap and cheerful.

People don't really care about the name to be honest unless you are creating a full branding image with the whole offline tactic.

What they WILL remember is the service and good time they had by using your service and product.

if you are a portal - you want to create an image of honesty, trust and most of all good prices.

There are many ways to tackle this but I would suggest (if you have not already) search the Internet and look at those who are succeeding and find out what they are doing right.

Hope this was of help!

A portal is a "hub" of information, if that makes it any clearer. For instance, yahoo.com is a portal (though one which is very general in nature).

any more

Has anyone got any more name ideas?

Heres a bit about my idea, let me know what you think will and wont work.

The web page i am planning will list all clubs pubs and bars in my state, and allow users to search depending on area.
Allow users to review clubs, and events.
Have photos uploaded each week (should attract a bit of traffic)
possibbly sell mp3's? has anyone had any experience here
