    are there any laws that.....

basically i wanna know can you sell any products that you make that have to deal with sites such as myspace, facebook etc...like can you make posters of people on myspace....so on the poster it might have their picture then on the bottom it will show their myspace page or something like that...

i know their are all those sites for custom myspace pages and layouts..wandering what the laws were for using sites and selling a product/service out of it

or instead of having the myspace name on the poster like myspace.com/example....could you just say my myspace name/id is example....so you are not actually using the myspace (brand) name

yes, there are laws but they are largely unenforced, unless you're substantially profiting from infringement

I'm not sure what you're asking

can you possibly elaborate on what the question is?

I think the biggest part is using "MySpace" name in any way. I would suggest contacting myspace about it before you go into production or contact an attorney about it.

You could probably use the URL with no problems, with the person's consent, that is in the public domain. However, you likely cannot use a screenshot of someone's page (I think thats what you were implying). The actual page design is going to be the property of either myspace or the person who designed it. Technically the page design is like artwork. You can't use it for commercial purposes without their consent.

thanks for getting back to me guys

what i am implying is this

could someone put the myspace url just say on any physical property....say a dog and advertise it....yeah i know bad example...but you get the picture....like i want to advertise some things using a myspace URL....and not sure if i could use that because it has myspace.com in it....that is why i was asking if i should say "MY MYSPACE NAME IS ROGER RABBIT and not use myspace.com/rogerrabbit...hope that makes sense

also, what if i made profit off of this....does that make it any different, or if i sell anything that has my myspace url in it
