Question Anyone involved in "Cash Parking" with GoDaddy?

I have about 10 un-used domains that I think are worthy of getting some traffic, but not sure if its worth the mothly cost of having godaddy provide the service.

Anyone here cash park with them?..seems like I need 100 domains for this to out-weigh the costs.

Do I just take the risk, and spend about 1,000 dollars and gobble up some names I like, or what?

    thanks.

I used them a long time ago but unless you have a lot of traffic or a volume of domains, it might not be worth it. I don't really remember much as I only used them for a month so my opinion on this isn't really worth mentioning as it wouldn't be valid advice of any kind base on what little experience I did have but my take from what you said, it's probably not worth it at your current stage.

I used them for over a year on over 20 websites and didn't make a cent. Why not throw up a quick 1 page site and put some adsense ads or affiliate banners on it? At least then you will have 10 websites maturing and they will make something.

I tried cash parking with some domains I don't use but no luck. I think it's hit or miss and more MISS..unless you have a domain that is searched for, and mispelled, or something, in the millions monthly.

I have a paid hosting with godaddy. But it is for the first time I have heard about "cash parking" terminology. Can some one here explain a bit about this terminology.

GoDaddy has several different services they provide. The most familiar with many is domain registration. Of course they have hosting as well which you are currently using as it would seem. They also have something called cash parking. A service that take unused domains and puts up what is called a parked page. Essentially it's a page with a bunch of ads and nothing else. If you have a domain that has a lot of organic traffic or typo traffic that arrives on the site, you earn revenue whenever they click on the ads. It's designed for domains that get traffic that aren't meant to be built in the most general sense.

Could be any domain. Domaineers don't necessarily build out websites, just hold a portfolio of domains so it makes more sense to do cash parking for people with huge traffic and large portfolios
