Any YE reaction to Brent Being Fired On The Apprentice?

Brent was the Omarosa, or the x-factor, for this show so far. It wont be quite as entertaining without him. I love making predictions on who will win as I view myself as an incredible judge of talent.

My prediction is the tall redhead chick with five companies under her belt. Some of them are popular urban clothing companies. She will win because of her poise and because she seems very sharp.

Anyone else want to chime in on this?

I kinda feel sorry for Brent. They obviously only brought him on the show for entertainment. Also he said he made his own diet and lost 110 pounds, he still has a long way to go.

It was funny when Andrea said I am a multi-million and you make $50,000 a year, he couldn't say anything.

It seems hard to guess who is going to win, it seems like project managers aren't really leading but asking the team to come up with ideas and take on difficult roles so the project manager can't get blamed in the end.

Brent was definitely a character. I do feel they unfairly attacked him certain times. The weight comment was a bit harsh, although understandable. Pretty impressed by Andrea, especially after finding out she's a multi-millionaire with five companies under her belt.

I agree, very cautious leadership, if you can call it that, on the part of the project managers. I felt kinda bad for Brent too. The insults he came up with were lame.

I busted a gut when he told some of the guys to save him a place at the dinner table because he said he was definitely coming back from the boardroom.

I feel bad for the guy, seems like they didn't give him a chance to hear out his ideas but he needs better speaking skills.

It was stupid of that girl to say I make millions and you make 50k a year (I would never say that to a person because it's not professional), people that have it don't talk about it.

I don't get the apprentice...

1) Over here it's on really late on a night when you should be out partying

2) Episodes I've seen have the contestants doing things which really have nothing to do with business. Sure they might involve needing some good sales techniques, but it's pretty easy to attract attention and sell to people on the street when you have a giant camera crew flooding the place.

3) Trump is boring. Period.

4) A lot of bitching.

5) A lot of "sex sells"

6) A lot of camera shots and bragging about Trumps gold-encrusted apartment or his 20-year-old girlfriend or what-not

7) A lot of blatant external advertising within the program which I'm sure is making Trump a boat load of cash. e.g. I remember one where they had to make a video for a "super, fantastic Microsoft product", then they have Dominoes and every other brand you can think of who are paying millions for their slice of the show.

Sure you need all the "interesting" and "entertaining" stuff in the program to get the "commoners" watching the program. But I'd much prefer an interesting weekly documentary type thing which follows the stories of existing business people and/or the struggles etc of those who are just starting.

... but anyways that's just my 2c

cheers

In all honesty the people most suitable to win The Apprentice are the type of people who won't go on the show. The reason being that it often involves them failing publically alot and leaves them open and vulnerable. I would go as far as to say that NONE of the people who end up on the show, inc. the winner are good enough for the job they intend to have. I haven't really heard any interesting news from previous winners.

Thats true but on Monday night nobody in America goes out, anyways I only do about 2 hours of work a week so I have too much time on my hands, watching business news all day becomes boring so watching something similar to business seems alittle more interesting for me even though it's not really a business show but still alittle interesting.

I don't like the Apprentice for the reasons Nado mentioned. Besides, I watch wrestling during the time Apprentice is on.

By "here", I mean Australia ... I think they play it sometime on the weekend at 11pm.

Yep I agree with you that pretty much everything on tele related to business is presented in a way that is soo boring you get put-off by business.

The gap is there for someone to create an intelligent, interesting (perhaps even exciting) weekly show on business.... and especially in Australia where I think the view towards business is that it is boring, needs lots of money to startup and lots of work and very risky etc etc (which I guess is true in some cases).... though I think we really need a boost in promoting business and entrepreneurship over here otherwise our economy is going to die as these other huge countries throughout asia begin developing their economies exponentially.

... sorry I'm full of caffeine atm, cramming for a test tomorrow

cheers

I think that it gives a little insight to some basic work behind tasks but let's face it... its just a TV show... you are better off creating and learning about effective management styles from doing the work yourself.... but thats just what i think
