You better define Failed... I had a successful business that I shut down as it was seasonal. I had another that made me miserable but it was successful, I had another business that due to the October 2008 crash I never finallized. All are successful failures, or are they something else?

Indeed. My first website was a horrible failure. Good idea...bad research and implementation.

Yeah, had a good business that crashed due to lack of personnel and the '08 crash. I'm sure there a lot of businesses that fell due to that...

In college I did production/promotions for bands but quickly grew tired of shelling out cash and sending bands off with my merch and no vested interest in moving it (no comprehension of breakeven sales numbers, etc- most just wanted to give their stuff away.)

Right after college my buddy and I started an online auto parts sales business for Toyota MR2 turbos. We initially started off doing engine swaps and rebuilding wrecked cars, but grew weary of the liability and our lack of experience/equipment. We were much more efficient at breaking the cars down and selling the parts (nationally and internationally.) It wasn't a failure in the sense that I had over 100% ROI, but it monopolized my schedule. It became readily apparent that we'd need to take on debt to expand the business (rent/buy more warehousing/shop space, hire employees, etc) and we weren't willing to do so. We just slowly phased out and I began leaning more towards real estate and my buddy went full steam ahead into the auto service business.

There BETTER be failures or else you are not a real entrepreneur!!!

Entrepreneurs are pioneers where there is always risk of failure. They are also always taking a high risk shot. That is who they are...or else they are not entrepreneurs, they are ordinary businessmen doing ordinary business.

This is my opinion I guess...entrepreneurs strive for something new to get ahead of the business pack so to speak. There is more risk in that and so deserves it's own name: Entrepreneur

I've had more than I can count of failed businesses, and some fairly successful ones as well.

I say fairly successful, because if it was a true success, I would still be doing it.

Here is a few I did.

Many, and I'm only 20. Most of them were blogs, which take a lot of time and man power I didn't have.

The way I see it, the real failure is not trying and am sure you all gained knowledge that you now use or that is tucked away the increase your odds next time.
