Ok so I recently started up a new website to promote myself and earn some extra cash as a college student, but so far it isn't working out for me. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on what I could do to increase traffic and earnings. Maybe let me know what I should change in the site, where I could advertise effectively for free and stuff like that. I don't think the site does justice for your amount of creativity. You are into music, that makes you very creative in my eyes. Give your site some color and something that will make your site stand out.

Anyway your site could use some design work but before that let me ask you a few questions. What exactly are you trying to do with this site, get traffic to click on the ads? Get booked for gigs? It is unclear by going to your page what the purpose of the page is.

Secondly how does this page add any value to my web surfing experience? What sort of utility or value do I gain from visiting the site?

These are all some things to consider, and there are many more but you are well on your way. I know there are some very talented web designers on the board who can probably give you some constructive critisicm.

What kind of website you are interested? You can copy many designs on the web and apply it in your website.. But you need to choose what kind of content you want to put in your page.

Make your web site more attractive. Try more colors, give it some personality.

You can try increasing your traffic by posting helpful comments on forums such as this and other blogs.

Hi, well first of all I think you have to let us know how you want to make money from your sites? Whether through adsense, attract some students to learn music from you or purely earning the advertising money. From your site, I can't feel any "make money" plan from you. Maybe you can tell us more so that we can help you.

I agree. Looking at the site, you have one adsense ad, but thats not how you make money with it. To make money with adsense you'll need more ads, placed well, and mulitple pages for people to travel. Typically you'll see done as articles.
